Job Summary
Working in accordance with verbal and written instructions and established procedure, and as assigned by the supervisor, perform a variety of duties.
Essential Duties
- Apply powder coating and inspect to achieve a consistent high-quality finish on metal parts.
- Hang or handle product safely using a variety of hooks for the painting process.
- Mask parts and plug holes per blueprint specifications.
- Adjust pain and process settings to achieve the specified or expected quality finish.
- Inspect parts as they leave the powder application booths to ensure they are fully coated.
- At specified intervals, add powder coat to application system
- Add cleaning agents and other chemicals to the washer system to ensure a proper metal cleaning process.
- Record concentration levels of the washer system, along with titration results.
- Clean all coating equipment and assist in routine operations necessary to effectively maintain booths and powder rooms.
- Clean and store respiratory PPE as required by the manufacturer.
- Perform work in the Assembly Department as needed such as assembling product per blueprint specifications, cut and staple boards to build crates, decal product, and other related tasks as directed by the Paint and Assembly Coordinator.
- Observe all Corporate safety rules and regulations.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Required.
Physical Demands
- In an 8-hour day the employee must stand/walk 6-8 hours, sit 1-4 hours.
- Must frequently use hand(s) for repetitive movement single grasping, occasionally pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation.
- Must frequently bend, twist, squat, and reach, occasionally climb.
- Must perform Light Heavy Work, lifting 75 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and /or carrying of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Must pass a yearly spirometry medical evaluation and fit test.
- Facial hair must not interfere with the use of respirators.
Typical Working Conditions
Typical open office environment with a low to moderate level of noise.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at all times in all manufacturing areas
- Safety glasses with side shields
- Steel toe shoes.
- Long work pants.

- Wear nuisance dust mask.
- Use respirators or air supplied hoods as instructed.
- Safety goggles or face shield (as required).
- Hearing protection (as needed).
- Protective gloves (material handling).
- Hard hat (where overhead hazards exist).
