While the history of how National Beef Month started is not clearly defined, most people correlate May with the start of grilling season. This could be part of the reason why May was chosen as National Beef Month. There are also several beef promotions ran at this time that help raise demand for the product and to educate consumers about the misconceptions of beef products and their actual health benefits.
